Our core program is Acquisition and Rehab. In partnership with the public and private sectors, NHSDC purchases and renovates 1-4 family properties.
The properties are subsidized and resold to low-and moderate-income families at below market prices.
  In June 2014, we completed a gut rehab of an energy efficient, green two-family property at 145-62 South Road,
Jamaica NY, which was sold to a moderate- income family. They were able to purchase the property at a 35% discount off the market value.
